Cries From The Fire

"Cries In The Fire" - Hand carved wood sculpture which recounts Martin's initial impression soon after arriving at Mauthausen. Included are scenes of a small girl being told her mother has gone to the gas chamber, groups of Jews herded to the chambers, people carrying the bodies of their dead friends, and piles of bodies. This is the piece that is displayed at the Yad Vashem Museum in Jerusalem.
